  1. Hey, just started downloading this now and I'm really looking forward to playing it, played the original before but couldn't really get into it because of the language barrier. I'm really hoping that you continue working on this, the Japanese get so many games that we miss out on :D, only thing I would say is that in the long run its probably easier in the long run to just post a link to the RTP rather than upload it every time.
    Thanks,

  2. I figured by this point if you're playing an RPG Maker game you'd have the RTP. I included it this time just to make sure everyone has this one. I will link to them later when they become necessary. Thanks for your comment and desire to support. Let me know what you think of the translation.

  3. Ah, makes sense lol. Just finished stage 1 generally the translation is pretty good but there are a few bits where you can tell that its translated rather than written in english. Tomorrow night I'll go through again and make a list of the bits that sound a little off.
BTW, I noticed that you were the guy doing the furry RPG maker game, I hope you don't mind me asking but what happened to that after (and is the version on the blog the last)?

    1. Some of the parts I read and had no clue how to properly translate it into English so I went with a nigh direct translation. As for my poor Furry Mountain game it died a sad death due to real life issues train wrecking it. Once I lost focus on where I wanted it to go, I kinda of just let it fade. And yes that was the latest version. I may pick it back up, but if I do I'm going to deserve some help on it. Testers, someone who can do Ruby, and a few other things. Speaking of that game, what did you think of it?

    2. Don't worry I got that lol I'll start taking another look in a little while, if you want I can try to find a better way of wording it but to be honest I probably wouldn't stand a chance, language never was my forte lol it was quite a while ago but I remember liking the game a lot. I think I got stuck on the one bit I might have another go on that later :D I don't know why but furry seems to be very under-represented in RPG maker. If you do decide to pick it up again I'd be more than happy to help (same goes with this project). I have a little experience with RPG maker (currently working on my own non-porn game in VX ace). If it would be a choice between the furry game and translations I would be very torn, the translation would be faster (I assume) but the furry game was very good.

    3. Considering that was my first attempt at a game period, I must thank you for the compliment. And that game had several issues, especially with the battle system. I foo-barred it horribly. Way unbalanced. But story wise I had a significant portion planned out, the only problem is I lack the Ruby programming skills to make it there. Pure RPG Maker programming save for a few bits I have mostly handled. It's the Ruby that killed me.

    4. Sadly I couldn't help at all with ruby, I have no programming skills whatsoever, what did you actually want to do with it? I found that there were very few things I've needed beyond the basic RPG maker bits in VX, which RPG maker were you using on mountain town (I'm not sure how much difference it would make but who knows?)? Also did you try searching for scripts that would do what you wanted? The only thing I've needed ruby for was already made by some other guy lol. I didn't think the combat was too broken, The only bits that really owned me were the werewolves (but since they got me in two hits I assumed they were supposed to). The mages took a bit of levelling but it wasn't too much just 10 minutes.

    5. Yes the werewolves were meant to kick your ass. I remember putting a warning in there somewhere about them. And the scripts I found had to be altered in some way to work properly, and unfortunately I couldn't get them to work properly. As for which RPG Maker I was using, I was using VX. If I recall correctly Ace wasn't yet out then. Hell, I still have the game, it's files, artwork, and my planning and brain storming stuff on my comp. Even the pictures I asked a fellow furry fan (WarKitty) to send me. I just never had the time to go through the 7,300+ pictures to select those I could place in the game. Further more, some of the artwork I would need would probably need to be custom done, and I don't know very many hentai artists who would work for free for a first time creator like myself.

    6. yeah, I'm not entirely sure whether to put this in the new post or leave it here because the new post says to put other things there, but I thought here would at least keep continuity. There was a warning on the werewolves but I couldn't resist lol, The script I used was a pain in the ass to get running and it did the most simple thing imaginable (changed one tile into another)
first the copy I downloaded had some addon thing in it that broke it entirely then some bits were in the wrong places so I had to rearrange and delete bits here and there (as I said no coding experience at all so it was mostly guess work) then the creators had posted three different sets of instructions not one of which worked properly on its own so the event scripting was like trying to put a jigsaw together, now that I actually have it working I use it as often as possible just to make the 3 hours I spent trying to fix it worthwhile lol. I'm not sure exactly how much difference there is between ace and standard, what exactly did the script to do? I'm pretty good at puzzling out solutions using variables, switches and whatnot and if that wouldn't work out if you like I could try finding the script for you and getting it running, since I don't speak any Japanese (and as such aren't much use on this project) at least I could help out with making it possible to go back to the old one if you decide to. Sadly on the artists front I couldn't help you at all, my stick men come out wonky and I don't know any personally. The only things I'm really any good at are science and maths and they never seem to come up much in porn games lol. Oh yeah and my preference for your next translation would be more loli but ideally with a male protagonist :D can't think of any off the top of my head but I'm sure I've seen some, if I find a link I'll post it

    7. Oh yeah and I have to ask what's up with the anime cross stitching blog?

    8. I cross stitch in my spare time and created that blog so that people could commission cross stitches from me.

    9. Also the scripts that my Furtown game would require would be crafting and creation type scripts which are pains in the liver (meaning they screw their way up from the ass to the liver).

    10. OH MY GOD, your online at the same time as me lol and fair enough, you can do creation and crafting with the basics of RPG maker (its ugly as hell and takes ages but it can be done)
one of the things I'm more proud of in my game is the ability to craft bombs out of restoratives, its a skill rather than an event but I think I know a way you could do it without it being to hideous without scripting, use the check for item thingy for each item on the list needed, if each is present offer the option to craft new thing, then lose the old stuff and add the new stuff. It would take a while but it could be done.

    11. But the pure amount of stuff I want to have be able to create would take WAY too long to do that way.

    12. I dunno, I wanted to see how feasible it was to do it that way and the results surprised me, only had three craftable things but it took me about 5 minutes to put together including building a map and text to explain everything and adding new items to craft (come to think of it I could have used premade items), https://www.dropbox.com/s/2hso7jp4dtk55r9/craftshow.exe , figured I'd post a copy I do all my stuff in dropbox anyway, see if you like the results, its not the prettiest in the world but as I said literally just 5 minutes no particular planning and just to see if it could be done, I'm trying to find something I like to support anyway so if you ever get back to mountain town I'd be happy to do that bit for you.

    13. Shall we move this discussion to email or somewhere so that we're not taking up this whole post?

  5. It's always nice to see someone getting into the translation business. Especially for japanese games. We really need them translators ! ;)
I wish you the best to keep doing it and to enjoy it.

    1. Thank you and I must apologize. I haven't put any work into further translating the game. I was waiting to see if enough people actually liked my work on this game before I put in all the time to finish. But with the positive feedback I've been getting I'll continue working on it. Just not tonight. Too damned late. I'm way too tired.
